THE INSPIRATION
When I wrote “We Will Find a Way,” I felt a need to overcome the apprehension and even fatalism creeping into my thoughts about the future - especially in such a divided time in this country (U.S.A.) and the world. I wanted to express something realistic but still hopeful about our collective ability to address the many challenges we face. Regardless of political leanings, most of us recognize how difficult but important it is to achieve fairness, justice, safety, amity, and a sustainable planet for our families and communities. We need to meet these challenges with conviction and a sense of optimism. I hope that “We Will Find a Way,” with its collective voices and gospel feeling, can offer an uplifting message of hope to help drive positive social change.
